About this app

Callsync (package name com.hilite.callsyncv2) is developed and published on Google Play by Meridian IT Solutions on behalf of HiLITE Builders. Callsync is an internal call-tracking and CRM tool used by the sales team of HiLITE Builders to log and follow up on customer calls.

Throughout this Privacy Policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to HiLITE Builders as the business operating the app, with Meridian IT Solutions acting as the app's developer.

Information we collect

Callsync is installed only on devices issued to, or authorized by, HiLITE Builders sales staff, and requires the user to explicitly grant the permissions below.

• Call log data: call date/time, duration, phone number, and call type (incoming/outgoing/missed), read from the device's call log, for calls made or received on the designated company SIM.
• Call recordings: where available on the device, recordings of company-SIM calls are matched to the corresponding call log entry and uploaded for CRM record-keeping.
• Contacts: contact names are matched against phone numbers to display caller identification within the app.
• Phone/telecom state: used to detect call start/end, support outgoing/incoming call handling, and enforce call-blocking against a Do Not Disturb (DND) list.
• Account/device identifiers: used to associate synced data with the correct sales representative.

How we use this information

Collected data is transmitted to HiLITE Builders's CRM servers and used to:

• Maintain a record of sales calls for customer relationship management and reporting.
• Block outgoing/incoming calls to numbers on the company's Do Not Disturb list.
• Provide caller identification for numbers already known to the CRM.

We do not sell call log, recording, or contact data to third parties.

Data sharing

Data collected by Callsync is shared only with HiLITE Builders and its authorized service providers (including Meridian IT Solutions, acting as the app's developer/processor) for the purposes described above.

Data retention & deletion

Call log, recording, and related CRM data is retained for as long as the employee's account is active, and is deleted within 90 days of account deactivation. To request earlier deletion of your data, contact sales@hilitebuilders.com.

Permissions

Callsync requests the following Android permissions, each used solely for the purposes described above:

• READ_CALL_LOG, READ_PHONE_STATE, PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS (legacy, Android 9 and below) — reading and detecting calls on the device.
• READ_PHONE_NUMBERS, ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS, MANAGE_OWN_CALLS, CALL_PHONE — call handling and blocking.
• READ_CONTACTS — matching phone numbers to contact names for caller ID.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12L and below), READ_MEDIA_AUDIO (Android 13+) — reading locally stored call recordings for upload.
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW — displaying the caller ID overlay.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_PHONE_CALL, REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS, INTERNET — running the background sync service and displaying status notifications.
